概要
The workshop was a practical introduction to Cooperative Learning (CL), a widely implemented teaching approach that utilizes group work to maximize learners’ learning. Through CL, students recognize their peers as colleagues and learn to collaborate to reach their goals. The workshop introduced the basic principles of CL and demonstrated eight forms of CL activities to engage students in the lesson materials. Faculty members participated in the session as “students” and thus learned to place themselves in the role of students participating in cooperative learning activities. Most FLA faculty members enthusiastically participated in the 90-minute session and engaged in all the practice CL activities. The informal feedback from the session was positive.
